The enquiry form. If you choose to use the enquiry form, we collect the name, email address, preferred consultation format and message you type into it. We use that information for one purpose only: to reply to you and, if you wish, arrange a consultation. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it.
How it reaches us. The form is handled by a script on this website's own server, which sends your message to Medigenes Ltd by email. No third-party form service is involved. Your message is stored in that email account. Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation are deleted within 12 months; where a consultation goes ahead, correspondence is kept for the duration of the engagement and for 6 years afterwards, in line with normal business record-keeping.
Lawful basis. We process your enquiry in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by replying to it.
Please do not send health or genetic details through this form. The form asks only what you would like to get from a consultation. Special category data — including genetic and health data — is not collected through this website, and will only ever be handled within a consultation, with explicit informed consent and appropriate safeguards agreed with you beforehand.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct or erase the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any of these, contact Medigenes Ltd using the details on this page.

Using this site, or sending an enquiry through it, does not by itself create a contract: each consultation is agreed individually with you beforehand, including what it covers and what it costs.

Consulting is an information and guidance service: it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and it does not replace advice from a qualified medical doctor, registered dietitian or clinical genetics service.
Where a consultation is booked, the specific terms for that engagement are agreed directly with you in writing before it goes ahead.

Complaints are handled by Dr David de Lorenzo personally. You will receive an acknowledgement within 5 working days and a full written response within 20 working days; if more time is needed, you will be told why and given a revised date. If your complaint concerns how your personal data has been handled and you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
